The City of Modesto (City) receives funds each year from the federal government for housing and community development activities. These funds are intended to meet local priority needs as identified by the City and its residents. To receive these federal funds, the City must have a plan for spending the funds and demonstrate that the spending will help the City meet national goals set by the United States Congress to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and economic opportunities, principally for persons of low-and moderate-income.
Are you a non-profit wanting to build affordable housing or provide public services to low-income residents? Are you a resident of Modesto wanting help to make your neighborhood safer, healthier, or more attractive? We may be able to help.
